PACVEC ANNUAL MEETING 2023

The Pacific Southwest Center of Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases (PacVec) is hosting our 6th annual meeting on April 6-7, 2023!

The meeting will begin promptly at 10am on Apr 6 and will conclude no later than 3pm on Apr 7. The meeting will be an in-person event at the International Center on the campus of the University of California in Davis, California. We will host a social reception for all attendees at a nearby winery from 5-7pm on Apr 6.

PacVec is supported by CDC and serves the southwestern U.S., Hawaii, and the US-affiliated Pacific Islands. Our goal is to improve the capacity of our region to respond to threats from vector-borne diseases through a combination of research, training, and collaboration. The PacVec annual meeting will include presentations on research progress and plans, current issues in vector-borne diseases in our region, and updates on training and engagement with our community of practice.

PARKING

We have reserved parking in Lot 25 for those who specified needing a parking pass to attend the meeting at the International Center. A parking attendant will be available at Lot 25. Please provide the attendant your name and the event name: PacVec annual meeting (no proof required), and they will provide an identifier to put on your dashboard and direct you to your reserved parking space. If you plan to attend the meeting on Apr 7th, please keep and use the same identifier. The parking lot is a 7 minute walk from the International Center.

For those who did not ask for a parking pass, the parking lots closest to the International Center include: Lot 16, Lot 22, Lot 25, and the Quad Parking Structure. You can also visit the UC Davis Campus Map and type in “International Center” to identify available parking in the area.

HELP KEEP CAMPUS HEALTHY

There are no specific COVID requirements for attending the meeting on the UC Davis campus. Face covering indoors is encouraged to protect the health of all attendees. We can all play a role in helping keep ourselves and others healthy by following the general public health practices on the UC Davis Campus Ready Website.
